You can’t measure us with a ruler, nor weigh us on a scale.
Because our volume does not exist in the body.
Our volume lives in the mind, in the heart, in ideas, in courage, in compassion, in love, in honesty…
Sometimes we are as deep as a thought, as exuberant as laughter, and as meaningful as silence.

There are seeds hidden within us. We never touch them, because we know that inside every woman there is something waiting to sprout: a dream, a spark of courage, a laugh... and most of all, the strength to remain authentic — no matter what.
We don’t seek happiness in fancy showcases, in narrow molds, or in places where others say “this is how it should be.” Happiness is hidden in the scent of coffee blending into the morning, in the peace of stepping barefoot onto the earth, or in the healing power of a laugh that comes at just the right moment.
This is what Zucabella is about: the name of women who do not hide their bodies, who adorn their souls, who never shrink their hearts, who carry their own volume with pride, and who make staying true to themselves a way of life.
And we say: Are we too much? Perhaps. But we are never lacking — and that’s exactly why we are beautiful.
Artist’s Statement
I am Selen Uğur. Throughout my life, I have built bridges with words — between two languages, two cultures, and two ways of seeing.
But one day, I realized that some things cannot be expressed with words alone.
That was the day my hands began to speak through colors, forms, and textures.
My Zucabellas are not just figures; they are stories — about life, humanity, and womanhood.
Each carries a piece of my own journey, a glimpse of what I’ve seen, and a trace of what I long to see.
For me, art is not about shaping the body — it is about shaping the soul.
Sometimes it’s a burst of laughter, sometimes a silence, sometimes that quiet “I’m glad I’m here” feeling hidden deep within the heart.
In every Zucabella, there is a seed I have yet to touch — a symbol of the potential, creativity, and authenticity waiting to sprout within every woman.
The deepest purpose of my art is to remind everyone who sees it of this simple truth:
Happiness is not out there;
it’s in your heart, in your mind,
and in your own path.
